Fried Chicken Tenders | Keto | Low Carb | How to Remove Chicken Tendon | Cooking With Thatown2

Wussup Towners. Fried Chicken Tenders – Now you know we miss our fried foods while on the keto, low carb diet, and these chicken tenders will definitely hit the spot and cure that craving. We didn’t use flour or cornstarch to bread these tenders. We breaded these with a combination of unflavored whey protein, and baking powder. Try this recipe out guys. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken tenders
  • 3 tbs of chicken seasoning mixture includes
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp lemon powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Batter

  • 1 1/2 scoop zero carb unflavored whey protein
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 cup sparkling water

Directions

Add all of the chicken tenders to a bowl and add in the seasonings salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, lemon pepper seasoning, cumin, and Italian seasonings. Mix together to combine.

Next, in another bowl mix unflavored whey protein, baking powder, and sparkling water together and mix until smooth.

Add the wet batter to the chicken wings and fully coat them. If you would like to remove the tendons from the chicken. Take a paper towel and grab the tendon, then take a fork and put the tendon between the chicken and the napkin and pull down on the tendon and it should slide right out.

Once the oil has reached your frying temperature. Place the chicken into your skillet try not to overcrowd the pan.
