- Deep Fried Turkey
- Ingredients
- 20 lb. turkey
- 1 tbs. salt
- 1 tbs. pepper
- 1 tbs. onion powder
- 1 tbs. garlic powder
- 1 tbs. chili powder
- 1 tbs. paprika
- 1 tbs. lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- olive oil spray
Directions
To start off make sure that your turkey has been thawed. If it is still frozen make sure you start defrosting it in advance. Turkeys generally thaw 3-5 lbs per day depending on your refrigerator. Once thawed remove the insides and cut off any excess skin around the neck and tail area. Pat turkey dry to remove all excess liquid. Season outside and under the skin with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, lemon pepper seasoning, and Italian seasoning. Once seasoned spray with cooking spray for seasoning to set and place back in the refrigerator uncovered overnight. The next day when ready to cook heat up your oil to 375 this took around 45 mins. Once your oil is up to temp, place your turkey in the basket and slowly lower the turkey into the oil (make sure to use gloves). Cook your turkey 3-4 minutes per pound. My 20 lb turkey was cooked for 75 mins for the dark meat to reach 175. Let the turkey rest for 30 mins before slicing

obviously like your web site but you have to test the spelling on several of your posts.
Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I in finding
it very bothersome to tell the reality then again I’ll surely come again again.
I apologize about that. We will try to update that as soon as possible.
great submit, very informative. I’m wondering why the other experts of this sector do not realize this. You should continue your writing. I’m confident, you’ve a great readers’ base already!
