Blackened Salmon | Keto Friendly | Low Carb | Cooking With Thatown2

Wussup Towners. We had salmon for dinner today. We prepared a homemade blackening seasoning to season the fish. This seasoning was very flavorful and spicy. You can control the level of spice depending on how much or little cayenne pepper you add to your mix. Feel free to remove the skin from the salmon if you prefer it that way.

Ingredients

  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp basil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp coriander
  • 2 tbs chili powder
  • 2 tbs paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions

To start off we made our blackening seasoning. We added all the seasonings listed above, basil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, thyme, coriander, chili powder, pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper, and mixed them all together. Rubbed the fix with olive oil and spread the seasoning all over the fix. Heated a ban over medium high heat and placed the fish into the skillet skin side up for 3 minutes. Flipped the fish added some unsalted butter and cooked for another 2 minutes. Removed the fish once the temp hit 145.
